I’m excited to welcome you to Lake South Laundry Lounge, the newest member of the Laundry Lounge family.

This location is designed to make laundry simple and hands-off. We offer professional wash, dry & fold services, along with pickup and delivery for both residential and commercial laundry. Whether it’s everyday loads, Airbnb linens, or business laundry, our goal is to take the work off your plate and give you time back.

At Lake South Laundry Lounge, we provide simple, reliable laundry services for residents, Airbnb hosts, commercial clients, and NDIS participants across Lake Illawarra and surrounding areas.

From wash, dry and bag to wash, dry and fold, our focus is on making laundry easy with consistent quality and dependable turnaround. All washing is completed using The Dirt Company products.

We support a wide range of industries including hospitality, beauty, retail, and industrial clients, with flexible solutions for ongoing laundry needs.

Residential bookings can be arranged by phone, while commercial and Airbnb clients can book via email with their business details and preferred pickup days. An online booking system will be introduced in the future.

Standard turnaround is typically 24 hours. For pickup and delivery services, we aim for morning pickup with afternoon delivery.

Our team is friendly, approachable, and always happy to answer any questions. There’s no such thing as a silly question here.

Our pricing is clearly displayed in-store, and we accept both cash and card. For Airbnb and commercial clients, we also offer invoicing options.

We also offer pickup and delivery services, so if getting to us is tricky, just give us a call and we’ll organise it for you.

While we don’t offer dry cleaning on-site, we’re more than happy to recommend trusted local businesses.

Everything You Need To Know

Absolutely — you’re welcome to bring your own.

We do use and highly recommend The Dirt Company products in-store. They’re an Australian brand made with natural ingredients, gentle on sensitive skin, and they leave your laundry smelling fresh without being overpowering.

We aim for a 24-hour turnaround.

For example, if you drop off at 9am on Thursday, your laundry will be ready by 9am Friday.

If we’re having a quieter day, we can sometimes have it ready sooner — just let us know if you need it urgently and we’ll do our best to help.

When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by one of our friendly team members at the front desk — there’s no need to head into the laundromat itself.

Simply let us know what you’re after — whether that’s a full wash, dry & fold, or a customised service like wash only or wash and dry.

If you have any preferences (delicate cycles, low heat, specific instructions), just let us know at drop-off and we’ll make a note on your order.

You’re welcome to pay at drop-off or at collection — whatever suits you best.

For larger or delicate items like quilts or doonas, we may ask you to sign a quick waiver if they require special care.

Yes,

We’ve kept things as easy as possible.

There’s 30-minute street parking right out the front for quick drop-offs and pick-ups. If that’s full, you’ll find additional parking just down the side of the laundromat — simply take the first left into the driveway and there are plenty of spots available.

Our flow can vary day to day, but generally:

Late mornings (around 10–11am)

Mid-afternoons (2–3pm) are great times to drop off.

If you’re unsure, feel free to give us a quick call — we’re always happy to let you know how busy things are.

Just keep in mind, anything dropped off later in the day will usually be ready the following afternoon.

We can absolutely separate lights and darks if you’d like — just let us know at drop-off.

Many of our regulars are happy for everything to be washed together using our professional process, but we’re always happy to tailor it to your preference.

 

For our residential clients, pricing is based on machine use, not weight.

When you drop off your laundry, our team will assess your items and let you know how many machines will be needed. We’ll also weigh your items at drop-off to help guide this and provide a clear estimate upfront.

Commercial and Airbnb clients may have customised pricing structures — feel free to contact us for more information.

 

We take great care with every order and follow all care instructions closely.

If you’re dropping off delicate items or anything with special requirements, we’ll talk it through with you at the counter and may ask you to sign a waiver before proceeding.

Yes — we regularly wash doonas, quilts, blankets, and other large items.

Just let us know at drop-off or give us a call ahead of time and we’ll make sure everything is handled properly.

We do — but it does need to be requested.

Our standard is a 24-hour turnaround to maintain quality, but if you drop off in the morning and need it back the same day, we’ll always do our best to accommodate.

 

Yes — we offer both daily and weekly pickup and delivery services.

We recommend calling the day before to book, as our driver heads out at 9am for pickups, with deliveries completed later that day.

No problem at all — this is something we’re very mindful of.

 

We use natural, high-quality products that are gentle on skin and free from harsh chemicals. We don’t use fabric softeners, bleach, or strong irritants in our processes.

 

If you have any specific requests, just let us know — we’ll tailor everything to suit you.

No booking is needed for drop-offs — you’re welcome to walk in anytime during business hours.

For larger or commercial orders, we recommend giving us a call ahead of time.

Pickup and delivery services do require advance booking.

We accept cash and card payments.

For Airbnb and commercial clients, we also offer invoicing.
